New Balance claims that if they made one running shoe, the 1080 V13 would be the one.  With a redesigned fit and more cushioning than ever before, the 1080 V13 is meant to be a highly versatile shoe with maximum comfort.

The revamped midsole in the 1080 ensures a very plush underfoot feel and the enhanced rocker and forefoot stiffness promotes quicker heel-to-toe transitions and a smoother ride.

With regards to fit, the new 1080 fits slightly narrower in the forefoot and accommodates more foot types through the instep by increasing the width of the sole. By doing so, you don’t need to be quite as narrow through the instep to fit the shoe properly. 

Ultimately, if you are looking for a highly cushioned underfoot experience then the 1080 should be on your list of shoes to try.
