Our Take 

The Zoom Fly 5 had a complete overhaul from its predecessor and we like the updates!  Now with a full length recycled ZoomX foam contained in an EVA carrier this shoe is softer and more responsive than the V4 and yet with the carrier and increased base it is also more stable.  The new model also has more flexibility built into the midfoot plate, increasing the versatility of the shoe for both training purposes and who can run in the shoe. 

The Nike Zoom Fly 5 is great for the person who wants a shoe that has the durability to handle some training miles but is snappy enough to feel like a race shoe.  It is also a great racing option for someone who needs a little more underfoot in terms of support and cushioning.
