Our Take 

New Balance claims that if they made one running shoe, the 1080 would be the one.  Phenomenal cushioning and an amazing fitting upper in a super lightweight package is a pretty dreamy combination.

Although the 1080 V13 was such a fan favorite, the one change we would make New Balance has addressed and that is stability.  The new Fresh Foam X midsole has been designed with higher sidewalls to enhance inherent stability for long runs or all day comfort.  Also new is an outsole with more durability and a slightly stiffer forefoot to make for a more positive feeling at toe-off.  And that upper?  Well, it is as dreamy as the rest of the shoe!
