Our Take 

The Brooks Catamount 3 is a light and responsive trail shoe aimed at helping you run faster and farther, blending the need for both speed and comfort thanks to Brooks' nitrogen infused DNA Flash midsole and their SkyVault Trail Plate which provides both protection and a responsive drive, especially when running uphill.

With the success of the Catamount already present, Brooks didn't change alot when releasing the third version.   The only change we see in the V3 is in the upper.  Using a single-layer TPEE mesh that is lightweight, breathable and durable, this streamlined construction allows the upper to contour to the fit for a glove like fit.

Technology

• DNA FLASH midsole crafted from nitrogen-infused compound delivers the perfect blnd of responsiveness and adaptive cushioning for a fast ride.
• Single-layer TPEE mesh upper is lightweight, breathable and durable.
• TrailTack Green rubber outsole offers traction on both wet and dry surfaces and is made with 25% recycled content.
• Drainage slits allow water to leave the shoe quickly, do your feet dry faster.
