Our Take 

For years the Asics Nimbus has been a staple shoe for the runner looking for a premium cushioned mileage shoe.  With the big changes that came back in the 25th version, the shoe became an overall staff favorite for the cushioned ride and amazing fit.  Since the 25th version, we have seen just tweaks to the shoe and that continues with the 27.  This year we see the same foam compound as used previously, but 3mm more of stack height.  Overall the Nimbus has an incredible step-in fit and that continues with the V27 but with a slightly more breathable upper.  To top it off we see a bit of a thicker ASICSGRIP™ outsole which should make the Nimbus even more durable than it already is.

Technology
