Our Take 

The Olympus 5 sees only small updates and remains that shoe intended for long miles on your feet where comfort and traction are key.  Built around a roomy toe box (Altra’s “Original” footshape) and zero-drop platform, the Olympus delivers a natural running experience with ample cushioning that is meant to keep you comfortable all day long.

New this year are adjustments to the sidewalls of the shoe to increase stability, a slightly modified lug pattern to enhance traction and a new upper with a reformed heel collar for an improved fit and lockdown of the foot.
