Our Take 

Th New Balance FuelCell Supercomp Trainer was the biggest surprise for us when New Balance launched the first version.  Some customers have claimed that it is their magic shoe.  Some have said how it got them running again after endless injures and others just can’t get over how comfortable the shoe is!  We agree, the shoe is part magic, part science and all about comfort and performance.

The whole idea is to bring super shoe performance to everyday, or even high mileage, training.  The EnergyArc carbon plate and the FuelCell foam work together to provide a highly propulsive ride that makes running faster and easier over long distances. 

What we see this year is a slight drop in stack height to make the shoe a legal thickness if that should matter.  It is also slightly firmer around the heel area and a little more filled in around the instep to make the shoe slightly more stable.  Oh, and did we say it was lighter and more responsive to go along with the stability factor?  If the V1 was a winner, the V2 is surely going to be hard to keep in stock.
