Our Take 

You know a shoe is having success when a brand adds a waterproof version to the line and this is exactly what On has done with the Cloudrunner 2.  The Cloudrunner 2 still fits a relatively neutral foot but has some added support elements that make it a more stable option when compared to the CloudSurfer Next and CloudSurfer without sacrificing the cushioned feel that On is known for.  This is done by adding a bit of width to the platform of the shoe and using a slightly wider Speedboard combined with a foot cradling design that supports the foot on every footstrike. 

This year On has updated the midsole of the Cloudrunner 2 to their new Helion foam which provides a softer, more cushioned experience but also delivers great energy return.  Furthermore, the outsole features a new rubber compound that offers improved grip and stability and the new 100% recycled upper will make you feel good mile after mile.
