Our Take 

We have come to really like Asics racing line up and the MAGIC SPEED™ 4 is a great shoe that blurs the line between racing and speed training. 

With even more cushioning thanks for an increased stack height and the amazing feeling FF Blast Turbo drop-in layer in the forefoot (encased by the tried and true FF Blast + midsole), the shoe, combined with the full length sculpted carbon plate, feels amazingly fast and yet can handle some miles thanks to all that cushioning.

If you are worried about the increased stack height, Asics has widened the base of the V4 to keep the shoe feeling stable and the new outsole definitely provides more grip when running in wet conditions.  Overall, probably one of our favorite carbon training/race shoes!
