We appreciate versatility in a shoe and the Hoka Challenger ATR 7 GTX is just that.  It has enough tread to give you some grip when the terrain warrants it, yet it has enough of a road shoe feel to walk or run endless kilometers on city streets.  You have the benefits of Hoka’s early stage Meta-Rocker without the massive midsoles found in shoes like the Bondi and you will stay dry with a Gore-tex Invisible fit upper which is an improvement on the upper fit of last season.  In fact, the Challenger has been redesigned from the ground up with a new foam and a slightly thicker midsole for a more cushioned feel and outsole that has been inspired by gravel tires.  Tightly spaced lugs in the center and larger, more aggressive lugs at the perimeter are designed for improved overall traction on uneven terrain.
