New Balance’s intention with the Summit K.O.M and Q.O.M was to create a versatile trail shoe that could handle any terrain while maintaining a quick and nimble feel by using its lighter and responsive RevLite midsole.  Add a RockStop plate for added protection, a Vibram Megagrip® outsole and you have a very capable trail shoe.  What you will notice the K.O.M/Q.O.M favors a slightly stiffer, firmer, more responsive feel over plush cushioning.  Leave that to the Hierro and More V1!
