Our Take

The Hierro has always intended to be used for long trail runs but it is a great shoe for anyone who enjoys a little extra cushioning. The newest version uses the same cushioned Fresh Foam X midsole and Vibram Megagrip® outsole to deliver durable traction on both wet and dry terrain.  What has changed is the upper, providing a slightly snugger fit and improved durability by adding TPU threads to high wear areas.  A slightly extended outsole in the heel area provides increased surface area for downhill running.
