Our Take 

Years ago we sat down with Dave Shelbourne (then the GM of New Balance Canada) at a local pub in Nanaimo and got into a debate about what the 880 should be.  Well, fast forward a few years and the 880 just keeps getting better and this is probably our favorite version yet.  With a new Fresh Foam X midsole (and more of it with it being 2ml thicker), the 880 is more cushioned than ever but also has a more responsive feel when you want to pick up the pace.  Cushioned, light, supportive without being corrective, the 880 can go long and can go fast.  We like it.
