The idea behind a shoe with a stiffer forefoot and more forefoot rocker is to increase running efficiency, which helps runners feel fresher for longer durations.  Asics accomplishes this in the EvoRide 2 via their Metaride™ shoe philosophy, which aims to lessen the overall load via its curved sole.  What we like about the EvoRide 2 is that Asics has done it in a relatively lightweight package that remains durable enough to use as an everyday trainer.   We also like the fact that Asics is focusing on the environment by making 20% of the primary upper materials from recycled materials and using a solution dyeing process for the sockliner that reduces water usage by 33% and carbon emissions by 45%.
